Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
Mooya cares about the privacy of families and children. This policy describes which personal data we process when you use Mooya, and why.
1. Data controller and contact
Mooya is responsible for the processing of personal data in the service. For questions about privacy or to exercise your rights, contact support@mooya.se.
2. Data we process
- Account data: email address and the information needed for login and account administration.
- Profile data: name or artist name, age, profile picture and country for the child profiles created by the parent or guardian.
- Artworks: images, file information and information on whether a work has been submitted or approved for publication.
- Technical data: basic information needed for the app to work, for example security and session data.
- Purchases: subscriptions are processed by Apple. Mooya only receives the information needed to determine whether Mooya+ is active.
3. Why we use the data
We use the data to create and administer accounts, save and display artworks, handle voluntary publication to Mooya’s world, provide support, prevent misuse and meet our legal obligations.
4. Published artworks
Artworks are only published when the parent or guardian actively submits them. Published material may be shown to other users together with the artist name that belongs to the child profile. Avoid including personal data or sensitive information in artworks that are submitted.
5. Sharing and storage
We do not share personal data so that others can use it for their own marketing. Data may be processed by suppliers who help us run the app, store data or handle payments, but only on Mooya’s behalf and in accordance with applicable agreements.
We keep the data for as long as the account exists or for as long as needed for the purposes described here. When the account is deleted, the data is deleted or anonymised, unless we are required by law to keep it.
6. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data. You can also request restriction of, or object to, certain processing. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
7. Changes
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The latest version is always available on this page.
